Thetford Town FC

Thetford Town Football Club announces that a local Thetford based person has injected a substantial investment into the Mundford Road Club. The investor wishes the cash to under pin the long term sponsor Thetford Garden Centre whose loyalty to the club is much appreciated.  

The investor wishes the cash to be used to help the local and loyal players during these tough economic times. Quote ‘it would be nice to see some loyalty return to the Town’s official Club, if only those players who experienced and benefited from the efforts made by volunteers, in the past, in the youth systems of Thetford Town Youth, Thetford Independents and Thetford Bulldogs to return to playing their senior football back in the town. It’s not only the players that need to get behind the team, but hopefully supporters and other potential sponsors. Last year’s appointment of Mick Money was technically correct, but saw an influx of players from Norwich and beyond which is not what the club had anticipated. Mick Money is now assistant at Mildenhall and some of last year’s players have followed by the lure of contracts, A successful Town football club will give Thetford a moral boast, which becomes even more sweet when the players are local.’
